Day 16 - Utah Kodachrome State Park and Dixie National Forest

Day 16:
Oct 12/Mon:
All Kodachrome pictures
We are finding that along routes 24 and 12 cell service is nonexistent…not really suprising given the remoteness/topography of the area.

David was up early today to do an early hike…Panorama trail within Kodachrome Basin State Park.

For pure pleasure we are taking a shower again this morning before we head out again before the noon check out and to do more hikes. There are not a lot of hikes in this park but it is quiet and scenic.

We have begun using our Mr Heater Buddy and that is working out well…takes the chill off in the mornings and runs on the small propane canisters (like Coleman brand).  David refills the canisters when we have a batch to do.

Tonight we ended staying in Dixie National Forrest just north of Bryce Canyon National Park.  There is an rv/truck parked here but it may be the cowboy’s as there is no one in it.  We now have cell phone service AND wifi using our Iphone…woohoo first time in quite a few nights.   Took a walk after dinner in the cow field…supposed to be in the high 30’s tonight (high elevation)…brrr.  Pile on the quilts/no heat

The End
