Cleaning Blinds

The Cleaning Process
Cleaning Blinds
I had been looking at the blinds in my rv for well over a year and was contemplating just how to clean them. (Didn’t want to hurry into this!) Nothing I’d read seemed to be something that would work for my blinds (typical white rv horizontal blinds). They were dusty, yes! However, they were also kind of sticky dusty (maybe a gift from 4 years in Florida especially since I don’t cook anything greasy). A simple dust job with any of the gadgets out there was not Going to work. They needed to be scrubbed….but how? Throwing them in a bathtub wouldn’t work as they would Flop around while scrubbing. So it hit me one day while staying in a state park in florida, why not just Lay them on the picnic table and scrub with some soapy water. I managed to space them out so the individual blinds were not touching. I tackled small areas at a time and repositioned the blinds to keep them from touching as I went along. All in all it only took me about 5 minutes to do each one. I let them dry in the sun and they now look great!
