Weds, Sept 15 – Tolna Dam, ND
Day 2 at Tolna Dam. Sometime last night an owl was singing the song of his people to be joined later by coyotes and Mali responded in kind. It was QUIET besides those three species making their songs.
The day was pleasant…windy and coolish. 41 degrees at wake up in the morning, oh yeah! It was a relaxing day of: rearranging the “basement” where we keep extra food to restock our larders and washing Mali dog because she needed it due to sleeping in David’s bed…don’t need it smelling like a dog bed. People came and went fishing in small boats; they must stock it. People also stopped by to put their kitchen trash in the dumpster….
Evening spent planning next years potential Michigan UP adventures in boondocking and state parks with maybe a little bit of Minnesota thrown in or not. We needed to check and see how long in advance we need to make reservations at Picture Rocks National Lakeshore which we missed out on this year due to a late decision to visit the Upper Penninsula (UP) of Michigan.
