Mon, Sept 13 – Burnt Damn campground to 6 mile Lake in Minnesota
We decided to NOT stay here for another night and push west and get into Minnesota zooming through Wisconsin. No more firewood and it would be too much relaxing…walking possibilities are few and not very exciting and Mali wants to eat the itty bitty cherries that dot our campsite. Want to get to the desert.
In keeping with tradition our ride today took longer than we expected and we arrived at 4pm with stops for gas and walmart shopping/showers in rv.
Our FREE campsite for tonight is 6 Mile “Campground” in the Chippewa National Forest in Minnesota. An easy 2 mile gravel road in from route 2. There are approximately 7 sites here and we are the only inhabitants. The gnats are mild and no sign of mosquitos. The whole area appears to be pretty darn clean. However, there was a LOT of poison ivy and Mali kept wanting to put her head in the bushes like normal so that was a challenge. Dinner, walk, bed.
