A very quiet night was had in the ferry line. Half
an hour before load on the activity began with all the people-less cars getting
their owners dropped off…even those that won’t make the first trip so they can
move their cars up the line.
Uneventful ferry ride…almost everyone stayed in
their vehicles so that is what we did.
Exploring the peninsula with Twilingate on it…David
wanted to drive on all the roads so we did.
Had dinner watching an iceberg (no pictures)…then decided to go back on
the road to find a better overnight spot (too close to main road).

We drove some more and found Bridge Overlook
on Pikes Arm. There was a nice little walk less than ½ mile up many stairs to
several awesome overlooks with 360 degree views. In that 360 degree view
spotted no less than 18 icebergs of size…not bergy bits. I am pretty sure that
doesn’t bide well for climate change.
Depending on currents and other conditions, it can take up to two years
for those icebergs to appear in Newfoundland from calving glaciers in
Greenland. It was so awesome we decided
to stay there overnight as the parking was up a little hill and fit us nicely. Very
impressive little park/walk.
