Day 45: Leaving Las Vegas

Day 45:  Nov 12, 2013

I got to squish Graham one more time before he left for work….

Today our aim was to head south just a bit…but not too far.  I am not an extreme heat lover.  The next three days are going to be warm And we need to stay cool enough for those three days.  I am loving the 42 degree nights here in Vegas this time of year.  I don’t need 65 degree nights (which translates into maybe 70 – 75 degree nights in the motorhome as it always seems to be hotter in the box.)

After a shopping stop, we made it as far south as Lake Mead where we again stayed for $10 at the Boulder City campground in Lake Mead Recreation Area.  Cheap, nice.  We could have gone further north to Stewart’s Point for free (again)  but didn’t want to drive any further (it might have been a wash free camping versus gas for the gas sucking hotel on wheels).

Today was shorts and tank top weather.  All those long sleeved shirts, turtlenecks, hat/gloves that I brought lay unused for this trip!

Walking the length of the “beach” and relaxing.  Working on upcoming show schedules, etc.
