Chores: propane, gas, water, dump, walmart and off we go to check out Smith Creek Hot spring southwest of Auston, Nevada. Lots of decent gravel road travel to get to this hot spring. This hot soak was not something we would use. One tub was too cool for early morning or night use when temps are in the 20’s and the other might have been fillable. We could not get the motorhome close which would have meant a fast run in cold weather in a swim suit or jeep ride while quasi wet…not happening. Some AWESOME views in this valley. Heading for Berlin Ichysaurus state park but on the way we found a derelect house in road canyon and decided that would be our dinner stop.
A bit more driving and getting almost too dark to see anything on the side of the road that might be a place to overnight, we pulled off for the night in a very large pull off at a roads junction out in the middle of nowhere but on a paved road. Also this is open range and cows are grazed here and no fencing so we have seen then road side but didn’t want to accidentally hit one that was crossing or freaked by us.
