Gaspe' Peninsula - Day 4

October 2:  Stopped at two lighthouses: Pointe a la Renommee’ and Cap des Rosier.

Overnight at Forillon National Park…pricey by our standards but quite nice and the showers were hot.  Took a look around the North End of Forillon National Park. You can really smell the balsam here.  A nice well-treed campsite with electric.  Many lighthouses dot the coast along the St. Lawrence and we

Won’t be stopping at all of them…we missed a couple.  The entrance to lighthouse Pointe a la Renommee’ lighthouse was very well done…nice sign, paved road.  In we went but it quickly turned to a gravel road and it turned out to be a couple of miles and and down a steepish road.  In parts the width was really questionable if two vehicles could pass and it was on part of the steep section with

No guard rails. Fortunately there were few cars that went back there.  Our treat?  A moose siting and picture.  There was a car that stopped and both occupants got out to take a picture (not far from the moose and definetly not smart).  Moose walked towards us; we got a front shot. They got a bum shot…hahah!  Off went Moose.  Cap des Rosier Lighthouse treated us to a whale siting from shore….could not ID it, photo it, or even get it on binoculars because its movements where unpredictable.

We did site a whale down here but simply
could not get a photo
