Fri, Oct 1: Custer State Park to Steer Pasture Overlook
This morning we left Custer SP to go to Steer Pasture Overlook (free dispersed camping) for the a couple of nights. We arrived mid afternoon after a stop at Wall Drug…just because I could say I did it. I went for a milk shake and the place was too crowded and the milk shake area was closed down so we left. Stopped at DQ on the way out of town for a sub in milk shake. By the time night fell at Steer Pasture overlook there were at LEAST 55 rv’s on the rim which is approximately 2 miles long. We decided that one night would be enough and enjoyed our one night…walking the rim and relaxing.
