The origin of this recipe. I went to make pancakes and discovered
that there
wasn't enough mix for the two of us. Yes, mix...the kind
you just dump water
in and whisk.
So I contemplated what to do. and came up with the
following recipe
which we both really liked (and I am not crazy about
pancakes).
First of all, it seems to me that the recipe quantities on the
packages
NEVER equal the number of pancakes you get so I double it.
2
cups of powdered mix of your choosing
1 cup of Donna's granola
add water
to the consistensly that makes you happy; I don't like
thin little flat
pancakes and the granola will suck up some
so be generous.
Whisk
it all together...and cook them up.
Serve with Maple Syryp (we make our own)
or pancake mix of your
choosing.
Enjoy!
Just tried Kodiak Cakes, a "flapjack" mix I bought at Costco on a whim. Mix with water or milk, add an egg if you choose, and cook as usual. Delicious, wholesome, natural pancakes from a mix! They're high in protein, low in fat, and have no GMO ingredients. I checked the rave reviews on Amazon before I purchased this huge box, as I was a bit skeptical. I'm not a fan of the "earthy" variety of healthy pancakes. These are just really good! Thanks for your tips.

Wellllllllllllll, Barbara, I looked it up and now I am going to have to order up some because hubby/David is eating anemic white pancakes. Me? I am making freshly ground gluten free Buckwheat pancakes which took a time or two to get used to but now I love them. I just made a 4x batch this a.m. and put a nice bagful in the freezer. (They are made from scratch so it takes time to make them and I David won't touch them as they look too "gritty"...read that as healthy.) Soooooo, thanks for that we will give them a whirl!
