Day 2 - October 3, 2017 Commuting to Wild West

Day 2 – Tuesday, October 3, 2017: A quiet night last night at the Walmart in Ottawa, IL. The other choice would have been the crackerbarrel there with lots of lighting. We were the only rv. Another long commute day with a few stops for Mali…she needs a couple to run out the energy. Shopping at Outlets in Millersburg, IA. We purchased two pairs of hiking Shoes at Merrell (buy 1, get 1 40% off) and two jackets (both 50% off ) at Columbia. I love the farm fields of Iowa and Nebraska but it was a windy day yesterday with David wanting to take a few breaks from wrestling the wheel. David noticed at a rest stop that the inner tire of our duallies had a hole in it and was Flat..being supported by the good tire. Lord knows how long it was like that… So we called around and it was almost closing time (5 pm!) and finally found one person that would actually talk to us and get us two tires by tomorrow morning. It was surely not the closest one; we drove separately for 40 minutes to get there. Donna in Jeep/formerly towed and David got the rv. We unhooked jeep to make sure
that should the tire self-destruct it wouldn’t take out the jeep. We stayed overnight in shopping Plaza with tire shop…a quiet night.
