canyon on the trail to observation point |
October 20
With son and girlfriend returning to work tomorrow, they left today. David decided to hike to Observation Point. I relaxed for the third day.

The Man on Observation Point |
There were lots of switchbacks on the way up in the beginning. I believe the hike was 8 miles round trip and 2100 elevation gain. After the first switchbacks there was a nice canyon to walk through. Lots more up hill gets you to a 1/2 mile walk around the rim. This was a great viewpoint looking down at Angel's landing. Spent some time there and enjoyed the sun and got ready for the decent.
