Brier Island Lighthouse overnight
|
We left our overnight parking spot early and drove
around the rest of the island. It is a
small island. The ferry ride to Long
Island, Nova Scotia was uneventful and short and FREE.
On Long Island we did a nice little hike to
Balancing Rock. A 1.7 km/2.25 mile well
done trail with a Basalt Rock formation at the end (along with Mary’s
Bay)…lovely, sunny.
When 8:30pm arrived and we still had not found a
suitable place to overnight (Forchu said no camping)…we got a little desparate
and selected a roadside picnic park complete with babbling brook, fisherman’s
memorial, old stone bridge and a fire chimney.
A quick game of polish poker and I was done for the day.
Woot! Woot! Polish Poker queen. Did you quit? LOL
ReplyDeleteI quit; he even quit when I was winning too much...lol! We haven't played since he quit.
